Saturday’s Child

My name is Michelle, and my mother Gayle and I own Saturday's Child.  We decided to buy the store when my oldest daughter Alexis was about six months old.  My husband and I had tried unsuccessfully for several years to have a child.  After quite an ordeal, we were pleased to have a beautiful and healthy baby girl.  I think this made me appreciate motherhood even more than I personally would have otherwise.  Therefore, I quit my job to stay home with her, wanting to enjoy every single moment together.

When Saturday's Child came up for sale, we decided  to jump in head first!  It seemed the best of both worlds -- a job with the ability to bring my daughter to work.  We didn't really know what we were doing at the time, but we've managed to figure it out along the way.
